This is drawing of a collection of still life objects: a wrapped chocolate, a flower, two fragments of blue and white pottery and two torn pieces of illuminated manuscripts.

It’s unusual for me to lay still objects on top of one another like this in my compositions. But having drawn the chocolate, flower and pottery shreds, I felt that something else was needed to bind them together visually. So I turned to two intact 15th century books of hours with their beautiful imagery - and (in my imagination) I tore little strips from them and laid the objects on top.
